Recycling

It has been said that the first metal recycling in the United States was in 1776 when a statue of King George III was melted down and turned into bullets.  Further, recycling continued and noticed a notable jump during the World Wars.  Today, recycling is not performed to supply war efforts, but rather, as a way to generate benefits to our environment, society, and economy.  In 2005, 32 percent of the nation’s solid wastes were recycled (www.epa.gov).

With drive-through recycling, state-certified scales, and friendly, knowledgeable personnel, the Kalispell branch is here to serve your recycling needs.  Check out our other pages to see some frequently asked questions regarding recycling.
